ADA Accommodations has moved to the Disability Resource Center

Employees, students and Visitors desiring reasonable accommodations such as a modification or adjustment to a job, the work environment, or the hiring process for a qualified individual with a disability can contact the Disability Resource Center for assistance.

Benefit Services

Benefit Services is responsible for processing benefit/insurance elections, leaves of absences and supplemental retirement plans for all new and existing faculty and staff. We offer counseling services for leaves of absences, up to and including disability claims, retirement preparation and the L.E.T.S. (Leading Employees to Success) new employee program.

Business Operations

Business Operations is responsible for tuition waivers, public service loan forgiveness and moving expense reimbursements. Additionally, they review and approve other taxable benefits. Manages internal and external audits as well as divisional financial, IT and facilities support, which includes managing the content on the HRS website.

Civil Service Testing

Civil Service Testing is responsible for scheduling, administering and scoring examinations as governed by the State Universities Civil Service System (SUCSS) for civil service positions.

Classification and Compensation

Classification and Compensation is responsible for reviewing position requests, determining the appropriate classifications for positions and recommending pay rates for those positions.

Employee Experience

Employee Experience team is available to support employees across all facets of their employment. We provide a proactive and strategic partnership to supervisors in managing expectations with their team and navigating complex issues within their department. Additionally, we meet with employees and help them or guide them to resources as they face different needs within their employment. For non-union faculty and staff, the employee experience team also helps to support the grievance process.

Employee Life Cycle

Employee Life Cycle is responsible for processing employment transactions for all new, existing and former employees. This includes onboarding, additional pay requests, performance evaluations and separations. Employee Life Cycle also oversees the hiring process for extra-help employees, student employees and graduate assistants.

Employee Well-being

Employee Well-being provides confidential counseling, advising and coaching to employees and their families for both their personal lives and careers. Employee Well-being promotes wellness through a range of resources as well as provides training and workshops that cover topics for both personal and professional growth.

HR Service Center

The HR Service Center team serves as the first point of contact for all HR inquiries from prospective, current and past employees. We answer all incoming calls and greet drop-in visitors to both our main Lincoln Highway location and our satellite location in Lowden Hall 102. We also process background checks.

Payroll

Payroll is responsible for calculating the hourly and salary semimonthly payrolls. They process general deductions, garnishments, child support orders, and taxable benefits including Taxable Fringe Benefits, such as Moving Expense Reimbursements and employee taxation of tuition waivers.  Additionally, they provide assistance to employees needing help updating their direct deposit or W-4 tax withholding forms.

Talent Acquisition

Talent Acquisition is responsible for assisting departments with identifying, recruiting and retaining talent. Major tasks include providing effective strategies in advertising and promoting positions; training on recruitment, selection and hiring; and processing and approving employment forms in the university’s employment system.
