The average salary for NIU graduates is $72,145 (PayScale.com).
The overall unemployment rate for those with a bachelor’s degree or higher was 5.1%. Meanwhile, the unemployment rate for high school graduates with no college degree was 10.2% (Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2020)
A survey of 2017-18 NIU undergraduates in 2020 showed that 81% were employed full time – and that 61% had secured their first paying job after graduation within six months of completing their degrees.
