NIU no longer has a storefront for ordering printed materials. See below for directions on how to request artwork for branded materials and printing through an external vendor.
Business cards, letterhead and envelopes can be ordered through your choice of external vendor.
Submit our Creative Services form for the brand-compliant artwork for your business cards or stationery. You'll be provided with a print-ready file as well as technical print specifications, like paper stock and ink, to share with your external vendor. See below for more information on working with external vendors.
Submit our Creative Services form for digital letterhead for your area in Microsoft Word DOCX format.
When using an external vendor, the person/department requesting printing and/or production services from the vendor is responsible for initiating the purchase request according to the university’s procurement procedures.
For quick turnaround items such as booklets, table tents and large-format signs, consider local vendors like Banner Up Signs, Castle PrinTech, Le Print Express, Provident Direct and Upstaging.
For printing and mailing large quantities, you may wish to request quotes from several printing and mailing vendors to ensure the best price to meet your specifications and deadlines. Consult with Procurement Services for information on initiating the process of working with an external vendor.
Regardless of where items are printed (whether through AnywherePrints or an external vendor) anything bearing the university logo or sub-brand logo(s) must be submitted for review by University Marketing's Clearinghouse to ensure brand compliance prior to printing.
Posters or flyers that will be posted on campus boards must have a poster stamp provided by the Clearinghouse or by Student Affairs (for official student organizations) applied to the document prior to printing.
Most basic print needs for items such as flyers, programs and posters (up to 11-by-17-inch) can be produced in-house by a department using an AnywherePrinter on campus.
Departments may wish to order a 24-pound premium laser paper to have on hand which produces a higher-quality finish than regular copy paper. Paper can be ordered through ODP Business Solutions.
University Libraries provides conference poster printing services.
