Printing Stationery and Marketing Materials

There are several ways you can get print stationery and marketing materials.

Printing Flyers, Programs and Posters on Campus

Most basic print needs for items such as flyers, programs and posters (up to 11-by-17-inch) can be produced in-house by a department using an AnywherePrinter on campus. Departments may wish to order a 24-pound premium laser paper to have on hand which produces a higher-quality finish than regular copy paper. Paper can be ordered through ODP Business Solutions.

Printing NIU-branded Stationery and Marketing Materials

NIU has a partnership with RRD for printing NIU-branded stationery and marketing materials. Letterhead, envelopes and business cards can be ordered through the RRD CustomPoint storefront.

Please note: It is usually more cost effective to order larger quantities from RRD, so we encourage you to research the pricing for different quantities prior to placing your order. Also, please carefully review the business card options in the RRD storefront prior to starting your order. There are several varieties depending on your needs, and we recommend using one of the existing options. Requesting custom business cards will result in the department incurring an additional setup fee from RRD.

If you have any questions about RRD's services, please contact NIUsupport@rrd.com. You may also contact Josh Levey at 312-256-1907 or josh.levey@rrd.com.

Printing with External Vendors

When using an external vendor, the person/department requesting printing and/or production services from the vendor is responsible for initiating the purchase request according to the university’s procurement procedures.

For quick turnaround items such as booklets, table tents and large-format signs, consider local vendors like Banner Up SignsCastle PrinTech, Le Print ExpressProvident Direct and Upstaging.

For printing and mailing large quantities, you may wish to request quotes from several printing and mailing vendors to ensure the best price to meet your specifications and deadlines. The BEP certification directory is a great resource to find businesses owned by minorities, women and persons with disabilities. Consult with Procurement Services for information on initiating the process of working with an external vendor.
