Umoja Mentoring Initiative

The mission of the Umoja Mentoring Initiative (UMI) is to foster a supportive, inclusive and growth-oriented mentorship network. This network is designed to enhance retention, engagement and success for all students by leveraging structured mentorship relationships with peers, staff and alumni.

The Umoja Mentoring Initiative serves as the all-inclusive Center for Black Studies program for mentorship, retention and engagement, serving as an umbrella to all students and student-led affinity groups seeking mentorship.
