The Department of Biological Sciences' greenhouse facility consists of three structures totaling 6,000 square feet, divided into 11 separate rooms. The majority of the facility is devoted to research activities. Three-and-a-half rooms—plus an indoor pond and terrarium area—make up the teaching collection, which contains approximately 117 plant families.
We're proud to be a "full service" greenhouse. Our complete crop-care services include planting, propagation, custom media blending, watering, fertilization and pest management administration. The facility also stocks a comprehensive inventory of horticultural supplies for use by faculty and students.
