Sustainability and Climate Action Plan

The Sustainability and Climate Action Planning Task Force, appointed by President Lisa C. Freeman, finalized NIU's first Sustainability and Climate Action Plan in Nov. of 2023. This plan serves as NIU’s strategic road map to a more sustainable future, pairing long-term goals with near-term actions collectively designed to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 or earlier.
