NIU is proud to be a founding member of the Esports Collegiate Conference (ESC), an independent esports conference. Our varsity players for Rocket League, League of Legends and Overwatch have just been announced. Check out our players and be sure to watch our games streamed live on Twitch.

NIU Announces Esports Minor for Fall 2020

The Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education in the College of Education is pleased to offer a minor in Esports Industry Professions starting in Fall 2020. Designed for students of all majors, this minor prepares you for a job in the esports industry. Download the 2-page degree sheet for more detail or contact Joe Curran at with questions or to declare the minor. Registration for esports courses is now open.
