Gift Designation Options

You can designate your gift to support a certain area, such as a specific scholarship, when you make a donation.

General Student Support

• Unrestricted: A general fund used to support student travel, enhance teaching and learning resources, recruit new students and student activities.
• Richard E. Dahlberg Memorial Scholarship: Awarded to undergraduate or graduate students pursuing a degree in geography with an emphasis in cartography or GIS.
• Ira Edgar Odom Scholarship: Scholarship available to students studying mineralogy or petrology.
• Eugene C. Perry Scholarship Fund: Scholarship to support students working in Latin America, or Latin American or U.S. Latino students pursuing a graduate degree in geology and environmental geosciences.

Graduate Student Support

• William Morris Davis Graduate Research Award: Provides graduate students with partial support for thesis or non-thesis research.
• Jonathan H. Berg Fellowship: The Jonathan H. Berg Fellowship provides support for the recruitment, retention and reward of outstanding graduate students. The fellowship is available to current or incoming graduate students in geology and environmental geosciences.
• Brian Fugiel Scholarship: Scholarship available to graduate students pursuing field studies as part of their thesis or dissertation research.
• Samuel S. Goldich Fund: Fund that supports student research and participation in professional conferences.
• Carla Montgomery Graduate Scholarship in Geochemistry: Scholarship available to graduate students studying geochemistry or applying geochemical principles to solving geological problems.

Undergraduate Student Support

• Meteorology Achievement Awards: Funding Nancy C. Wick outstanding senior and Jack Villmow outstanding junior awards in meteorology.
• Carla Montgomery Undergraduate Scholarship in Geology: Scholarship intended to recognize students who have demonstrated a commitment to academic excellence.
• John R. Young Scholarship: Scholarship available to undergraduate majors in any emphasis in geology and environmental geosciences.
