Leslie Albion (she/her/hers)

I currently coordinate substance use services and provide counseling services at Counseling and Consultation Services. My approach with students involves a warm and welcoming attitude that includes the person first and that student as the expert of themselves and their experiences. I view counseling as a collaborative approach where we will work together to meet your goals and move toward the changes you want to see in your life. It is also important to consider diverse backgrounds and experiences a person has that may impact their personal wellness; and because of this I use a strong multicultural foundation in my approaches and my work with students. Starting the process of counseling can feel scary or overwhelming, so I oftentimes use humor in my sessions to help build a solid student therapist relationship.
