General Information
Check-in time is 4 p.m. and check-out time is 11 a.m. If a guest requests an early check in or late check out there is an additional charge of $10 per extended hour. If the check-out time they request reaches or exceeds 4 p.m., an additional night is charged to the guest.
Parking is not included in reservations. The visitor lot off Carroll Ave is open for guest use. It is monitored from 7 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday. During these times a guest needs to purchase a visitor pass directly from the NIU parking services website. If a guest is staying on the weekends a parking pass is not needed.
Hotel Room Reservations: COTS 2026 Group Rate
The COTS group rate is available until 10/21. If you reserve after 10/21, you will have to pay the regular hotel rate.
- COTS group rate: $82 for standard room/$92 for suite
- Available dates for reservations: 11/5-11/8
To book your hotel online, please do the following:
- Book your room at the Hotel at Holmes using the COTS 2026 group number
- Type in the group number: 5236
- Book the room of your choice

Non-NIU Student Presenter Hotel Room Reservations
If you are a non-NIU undergraduate or graduate student presenter, you are eligible to receive a free shared hotel accommodation at NIU's Hotel at Holmes in the center of campus.
Please complete the COTS Student Accommodation Request by October 15.
Guest Parking Information
For visitor parking, use the mobile-friendly Interactive Visitor Parking Map to locate pay lots.
On Friday, guests will need to pay for parking using AIMS Mobile Pay. You can pay for parking in the following ways:
- QR code on signs at the Visitor Parking Lot
- Download the app from the app stores
- Pay online via the AMP website
