Leading-edge campus research center to focus on food, water, environment

A world-class research center targeting food systems, water resources and environmental change, the Northern Illinois Center for Community Sustainability is part of a new statewide innovation network led by the University of Illinois System.

NICCS will be housed in a new, $22.9 million state-of-the-art facility on NIU’s far west campus.
