According to the Suicide Prevention Resource Center, suicide is one of the leading causes of death among college and university students. Northern Illinois University is dedicated to helping students persist through times of doubt and thrive during their time on campus. It's up to the entire NIU community to spread awareness about suicide in order to prevent students from considering it as an option. Helping Huskies Thrive provides resources and support to students, enabling them to prosper at NIU.
