Using the Pantry

We don't want any Huskie to go hungry, not for a single meal. If you're a currently enrolled student and need help getting food for any reason, we're here for you.

Please reserve a 10-minute shopping time with the online Huskie Food Pantry Shopping Reservation Form. We're open on Wednesday from 4-5:30 p.m. and Thursday from 5-7 p.m. You have the option of signing up for one of the two open pantry days per week. Online reservations can be made up to two days in advance of the open pantry day.

We expect everyone who uses our services to follow NIU's health and safety guidelines and the policies in the NIU student handbook.

How to Use the Pantry

1. Please bring your NIU OneCard.
2. Once a semester, you are asked to complete an intake survey before you shop. Your information remains strictly confidential. The data gathered is used to support our funding efforts, improve our operations and gain a better understanding of our students' needs.
3. You are encouraged to use our online Huskie Food Pantry Shopping Reservation Form. Please come 10 minutes before your reservation time to check-in.
   • If you do not use the online registration, you may experience a longer waiting period to use the pantry. 
4. Shop and select your items and check out with a volunteer.
