CRM Operations

The CRM team supports new student recruitment through the use of NIU’s CRM system, Slate. Utilizing the Slate system, we coordinate outbound communication with prospective undergraduate and graduate students through multiple channels that can include including text messaging, emails, event registration and outbound phone calls.

Our team facilitates communicates with prospective students on behalf the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, the Graduate School, academic departments and offices at NIU.

Note, the Graduate School’s initial use of the Slate CRM system will include minimal (yet effective) automated email campaigns to serve all prospective graduate students beginning in Spring 2024 for the Spring 2025 admit term. Additional information will be provided to graduate programs and departments during the 2024 calendar year.
