Director and Professor
Ph.D., University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign — Probability and Number Theory
Ledoan's research lies in analytic number theory and probability theory. Ledoan investigates the distribution of prime numbers — including gaps between primes, jumping champions, and irregularities in prime distribution — as well as zeros of the Riemann zeta function and related L-functions, the discrepancy of Farey series, and the density of complex zeros of random polynomials. He has been supported by multiple NSF grants, published in the Bulletin of the London Mathematical Society, the International Mathematics Research Notices, Mathematika, the Journal of Number Theory, and the Ramanujan Journal, and has directed two NSF-funded REU Sites with a strong record of alumni continuing to doctoral programs at prestigious institutions.
