Computer Science Alumni Network

Founded in 2006, the NIU Computer Science Alumni Network is the official affinity group for graduates, faculty and friends of the NIU Department of Computer Science and NIU alumni in the information technology field.

The group co-sponsors a variety of events each year, including networking and job seeker workshops, professional lectures, wine tastings, baseball games, golf outings, tents at homecoming, student mentoring, scholarships, and holiday parties.

Ways to Engage

• Be a guest speaker: Share your insights with a class or the Student Chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) 
• Host students: Offer internships or job-shadowing opportunities for real-world experience
• Mentor and network: Guide students by sharing career advice and building professional connections
