Engineers in Residence

Our Engineers in Residence program brings a team of experienced faculty members and talented graduate students to your company. They'll help meet a need or solve a challenge you face. You'll increase your productivity, improve customer satisfaction, reduce costs and more. Our students will gain experience applying their technical skills and bridging theory with practice.

Build Your Team

We'll bring a fresh approach to your challenge. Simply identify a need and how we can help. Then, select your team of graduate students. Each team also includes a faculty coach and company supervisor. Selected students will receive funding, including tuition and a stipend.

The student team will work onsite at your company for a specified number of hours each week. In addition, our experts will help identify project needs outside of engineering and engineering technology. We often partner with other NIU colleges to ensure success.
