Induction Ceremony
The Boey Honors Induction Ceremony recognizes students with a membership certificate and a pin. Once inducted, members will register for Huskie Career Launchpad to begin pillar completion.
Dual Credit with Huskie Career Lunchpad
Completion of the Boey Honors Program Pillars also counts towards the completion of selected NAYCE Competencies through Huskie Career Launchpad.
Recognition at Graduation
Upon graduation, members will receive the following recognition for their 3.0 GPA and for the completion of their pillars:
- Lower Division Completion
- Certificate of completion
- 3.0 GPA honor cord
- Boey Honors Program stole
- Upper Division Completion
- Certificate of completion
- 3.0 GPA honor cord
- Boey Honors Program stole
- Medal of achievement
Membership Eligibility Requirements
Boey Honors Members work closely with AARC graduate assistant to complete selected pillars and to receive support along the way.
To be eligible for the program, students must meet these requirements:
- Be enrolled as an NIU undergraduate or graduate student
- Demonstrate college GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Sustain 'good standing' with Student Conduct Office
- Transfer students must have a 3.0 from a previous college institution
Member Expectations
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
- Attend Boey Honors induction ceremony
- Meet twice per semester with AARC graduate assistant to discuss pillar selection and progress
- Attend monthly Boey Honors Program meetings
Once inducted, members will register for the Huskie Career Launchpad and complete selected program pillars in a self-paced manner.
