The Boey Honors Program pillars are designed to align with eight career-readiness competencies defined by the National Association of Colleges and Employers that can be found on Huskie Career Launchpad.
The Boey Honors Program pillars are:
- Pillar 1: career and self-development
- Pillar 2: cultural education
- Pillar 3: leadership and service
- Pillar 4: professionalism
Members may achieve 'lower division' or 'upper division' status depending on the pillars they select to complete:
Lower Division
Completion of two designated pillars.
Undergraduate students must complete:
- Career and self-development (100 points)
- Cultural education (complete experience set)
Graduate students must complete:
- Professionalism (100 points)
- Cultural education (complete experience set)
Upper Division
Completion of four pillars.
- Career and self-development (100 points)
- Cultural education (complete experience set)
- Leadership and service (complete experience set)
- Professionalism (100 points)
Recognition Upon Graduation
Members will receive recognition for their pillar achievement:
- Lower division
- Certificate of completion
- 3.0 GPA Honor cord
- Boey Honors Program stole
- Upper division
- Certificate of completion
- 3.0 GPA Honor cord
- Boey Honors Program stole
- Medal of achievement
Deadlines for Pillar Completion
To receive recognition for the completion of pillars in time for graduation, please complete all requirements and documentation by the following dates:
- December graduates: November 15
- May graduates: April 15
