NIU serves more than 12,000 undergraduate students and 4,000 graduate students from diverse backgrounds. Most students in the clinical psychology program live in apartments, townhomes, or houses in the DeKalb/Sycamore area. The small-town feel of these communities allows students to focus on graduate school; however, we are close enough to Chicago to make a day trip and enjoy everything a major city has to offer.
