What Can I Do With an Eating Disorders and Obesity Certificate from NIU?
With your expertise in addressing eating disorders, you’ll be prepared to support and educate people on nutrition, exercise and behavior change in a range of settings.
In addition, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and other organizations provide continuing professional education (CPE) units for the completion of the certificate.

How to Apply
Eligibility for this Certificate of Graduate Study is limited to current NIU degree-seeking students. You can apply if you have a bachelor’s degree or higher in nutrition, dietetics, family sciences or a related field, with introductory coursework in nutrition, psychology and family relationships.
First, you’ll apply to the Graduate School. Then, you’ll apply to the certificate program. You can take courses as a student at large, but you must be admitted to the program to obtain the certificate.
