Nathan D. Stansell, Ph.D.

Research Interests

My research interests apply a wide range of methods to better understand past climatic changes on a range of timescales. Some of the highlights include:

  • Stable isotope geochemistry and paleolimnology in western North America, Central America and South America
  • Proglacial lake sediment stratigraphy in the tropical Andes
  • Cosmogenic radionuclide dating in the tropical Andes
  • Glacier mass-balance modeling
  • High latitude climate and carbon dynamics
