Import NIU Academic Calendar and Holidays into your Outlook calendar

Download the 2025-2026 Academic Calendar (ICS).

NIU's President, with the endorsement of University Council, approves the university holiday schedule.  Download the 2026 NIU Holiday Calendar file (ICS).

Mac and Windows

1. Go to go.niu.edu/m365 > Outlook > Calendar
2. Select Add Calendar > Upload From file
3. Select the .ics file > Import

or

1. In Outlook > File > Open & Export > Import/Export
2. Select Import an iCalendar (.ics) or vCalendar file (.vcs) > Next
3. Select the .ics file > Import

Instructions for "New Outlook"

1. Select the Calender tab.
2. Underneath the monthly calendar view, select the Add Calendar icon.
3. Select Upload from file.
4. Select Browser
5. Select the calendar you wish to upload.
6. Select Import.
