World Languages Learning Center

At the World Languages Learning Center (WLLC), you can practice speaking in paired recordings, check out videos for classroom learning, and receive free tutoring in some of our languages. We also offer software to enhance your foreign language learning experience, including Sanako for oral recordings and Trados for translation.

We have a wide range of DVDs and other media in more than a dozen languages available for checkout.

Location and Hours

Visit us in Watson Hall, room 101 (basement). Enter on the second floor between Watson and DuSable halls.

The World Languages Learning Center (WLLC) is also accessible by taking the elevator in DuSable to the first (ground) floor and going down the hall past room 154. On the right is the 101 accessible entrance. Ring the doorbell for entry.

  • Monday: 9 a.m.- 8:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday: 9 a.m.- 8:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 9 a.m.- 5 p.m.
  • Thursday: 9 a.m.- 5 p.m.
  • Friday: 9 a.m.- 4 p.m.

Closed on university holidays. Limited hours during finals week.
