Distance Thai

Step into the world of Siam/Thailand with these online Thai language courses and immerse yourself in the national language and cultures of the Thai people. Instruction will be conducted by NIU Thai language professor Kanjana Thepboriruk.
Taught in Thai and English, these 16-week courses are designed for students, professionals and others interested in learning Thai in a flexible online format using a combination of asynchronous and synchronous methods. Beginning classes will be taught mostly in Thai and students will be able to communicate about everyday topics in Thai upon completion of the course. Upper-level courses will be taught entirely in Thai and students will continue to improve their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills through authentic texts such as short stories, advertisements, popular music, and videos. Students will earn three to five credits transferrable to other universities.
The class size is limited to 25.
