Welcome to the Division of Academic Affairs within the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost at Northern Illinois University!
The Division of Academic Affairs is comprised of seven colleges, the University Libraries, the Graduate School, the Faculty Development and Instructional Design Center, the Office of Assessment Services, and the academic support services units. The Executive Vice President and Provost is the chief academic officer who oversees the operations of these units.
The Office of the Provost envisions an inclusive, diverse and student-centered university, where students, staff and faculty members are engaged in innovative scholarship, research and artistry pursuits that lead to academic excellence and career success.
The Office of the Provost mission is to create and maintain an inclusive and stimulating academic environment where talented and diverse faculty can realize excellence in teaching, research, artistry, and outreach while providing students with challenging, high-quality, engaged learning experiences that help them navigate a complex, changing, and globally interconnected world and that put them on the road to career success.
