Latino Resource Center


The Latino Resource Center is a unit of the Division of Academic Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at NIU. Better known as the LRC by students and staff, the Latino Resource Center focuses on student-centered service by developing partnerships focused on student learning while establishing an inclusive community that builds collaborative relationships across campus and the surrounding community.

The LRC office shares its physical space with the Center for Latino and Latin American Studies (CLLAS) and both offices are housed in the Latino center building. The LRC also offers a computer lab, study/library area, student lounge and wireless Internet. You can find various students involved with different organizations holding meetings or visiting on a daily basis. The LRC is located directly across the street from Anderson Hall.

All students, faculty, staff and community members are welcome to visit the Latino Resource Center, Asian American CenterCenter for Black StudiesGender and Sexuality Resource Center, Undocumented Student Resource Center and Military and Post-Traditional Student Services.

Room Reservations

The Latino Center has several rooms available for faculty, staff and student organizations to reserve and use. Available spaces include: The atrium, smart classroom, computer lab, conference room and student organization lounge.
