Internet Accessible Remote Laboratories

The advent of computers and technology has not drastically changed how teachers teach, and students learn, especially in laboratory courses within the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines. Technological tools are still primarily used to support traditional laboratory delivery methods. To provide engaging and effective laboratory courses, there needs to be a significant shift towards the effective use of computers and emerging technologies.

The investigator has collaborated with educational psychologists and pedagogical design experts to design and develop a universal, internet-accessible remote laboratory environment where students can proceed at their own pace with greater flexibility.
