We operate on a sliding fee scale that is based on annual income and the number of people in the home that income supports. Our fees are very reasonable, and we will work with people with special financial problems to assure that they can afford to receive services. We expect payment at the time of service, and accept cash, check or credit card.
For NIU students, there is a $5.00 fee per therapy session.
We do not accept insurance directly. Many people have insurance policies that pay for part or all of therapy, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance company.
Cost of Psychological Evaluations
We operate on a sliding fee scale that is based upon annual income and the number of people in the home that income supports. We cannot offer psychological evaluations free of charge. We expect the full assessment fee to be paid at the very first testing session, and accept cash, check or credit card.
We do not accept insurance directly. Many people have insurance policies that pay for part or all of their psychological evaluation. We can provide a paid invoice for you to submit to your insurance company, but do not guarantee reimbursement.
For NIU students, there is a flat fee for psychological evaluations. We cannot charge a student’s financial account for our services, and the full payment is expected at the first testing session.
First Session – Always Free
We offer an initial "problem assessment session," or intake, at no charge. This session takes about an hour and a half and includes an interview with a staff clinician and paperwork. We ask you about the problem(s) leading you to seek our therapy or evaluation services, your background and your current life. During that session, we also provide you with information about how we work as a clinic (similar to the information on this website but in greater detail).
