Literacy Education: Reading
Online Master of Science in Education (M.S.Ed.)

Help children build essential skills in reading.

Learning to read gives children a strong academic foundation for the rest of their lives. Our program enables you to facilitate this process by advancing your competency in culturally responsive, transformative pedagogy. Your coursework will focus on literature for children and young adults, as well as digital literacies and technology.

Our program aligns with standards developed by the International Literacy Association (ILA) and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), preparing you to meet or exceed expectations set by the ILA and Illinois State Board of Education.
