About Us

The Hearing Conservation Center is made up of three labs: Audiology (314 Wirtz), Genetics (312 Wirtz), and Acoustics (1015 Wellness and Literacy Center).

Our goal is to advance the field of hearing conservation by publishing scientific research that evaluates access to audiological care, the role of oxidative stress in sensorineural hearing loss, and algorithms for diagnosing noise-induced hearing loss.

The Hearing Conservation Center is managed by Charles Pudrith and a rotation of audiology graduate students and undergraduate students in the communicative disorders program.

For more information on our scholarly work, please visit Professor Pudrith’s research page.
