The Office of the Ombudsperson provides students, faculty and staff with guidance to help solve a variety of university-related issues or conflicts. We offer confidential, neutral, informal and independent guidance. While we cannot provide legal advice or advocate on your behalf, we can advise you of your rights within the university.
Sarah Klaper, NIU’s Ombudsperson, and her staff will listen to your concerns about a variety of topics, assess your situation and suggest options that may help you resolve the matter.
