The International Student & Faculty Office at NIU has prepared an invigorating program intended to assist and orient Fulbright graduate students on their way to succeed academically, socially, and culturally in the U.S.

The Fulbright Gateway Orientation for Fulbright Foreign Students is a benefit made available to Fulbright foreign student grantees arriving in the U.S. at the start of their grant. This is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) as part of its Fullbright Program, the U.S. government's flagship international exchange program supported by the people of the United States and partner countries around the world. For more information, visit eca.state.gov/Fulbright.

This activity is administered by the Institute of International Education (IIE).

The Gateway Orientation is intended to address two main components: 1) the participants' roles and responsibilities as Fulbrighters and  2) skills development for successful academic, personal, and professional lives in the U.S.
