Off-Campus & Non-Traditional Student Services at Northern Illinois University was established in order to support and enhance the educational, interpersonal, and social experiences of commuter, non-traditional, and off-campus students.
The staff of Off-Campus & Non-Traditional Student Services is here to assist you in attending to the various needs and concerns of commuter, off-campus, and non-traditional students at NIU. Our staff is here to help you get connected with the services you are seeking or to assist you in navigating a particular issue.
Our office is also a lounge for students to come and relax between classes, have lunch, study, or chat with other commuter, non-traditional, or off-campus students.
There is a computer lab adjacent to our office where you can access all of your computing needs. Our primary aim is to create a comfortable place for students to come and relax or get connected with the information or services they need.
We are located in the Holmes Student Center, rooms 023J and 023K (lower level near the Orientation office).
