Huskies Finish Strong

The end of the semester is a busy time as you prepare for final exams and wrap up projects, papers and presentations. Being prepared, making time for self-care and having some fun can help you stay motivated throughout the remaining days of the semester.

Be Prepared.

Avoid cramming for finals by blocking out time to study and having an organized plan for when you’ll study. Try studying in a new location or listening to music to help you stay motivated. Be sure to check out these additional study tips.

You can also take advantage of the Huskie Academic Success Center and these other academic support services:

  • The Writing Center can help you with papers and other writing projects.
  • The Founders Learning Commons in Founders Library offers technology support, research resources and friendly staff who will answer your questions.

The Mathematics Assistance Center can help you with difficult problems and teach you test-taking and study strategies

Make Time for Self-care.

It’s important that you take care of yourself if you want to perform well on your exams. Avoid pulling all-nighters and get plenty of sleep. Feed your mind by eating nutritious and healthy food. Remember to check out NIU Recreation for spaces and services to help you stay healthy and physically active.

Prioritize you for your well-being and to help you ace those exams! Visit our Well-being at NIU website for additional wellness resources.

Have Fun.

While the end of the semester can be stressful, it’s also a time to celebrate your accomplishments. Step away from your devices, connect with your friends and attend some scheduled campus events.
