NIU serves about 12,000 undergraduate and 4,000 graduate students from diverse backgrounds. Most students in the clinical psychology program live in apartments, townhomes, or houses in the DeKalb/Sycamore area. The small-town feel of these communities allows students to focus on graduate school; however, we are close enough to Chicago to go in for the day to enjoy all that a major city has to offer.
