Our online Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology with an emphasis in Applied Manufacturing Technology (BS-AMT) is a convenient and affordable way to build on your degree, advance into leadership positions, and increase your earning potential. Economists predict a surge in manufacturing job openings as the industry expands and highly skilled workers retire. Manufacturing jobs pay well, and a BS-AMT from NIU opens the door to management and leadership positions.

Program Overview

Our BS-AMT Program builds on your technical knowledge and develops leadership skills for the manufacturing and technology fields. In this program, students complete three years (90 credits) and earn associate degrees at any community colleges within the U.S., then complete the final year at NIU by taking ten online courses (30 credits). This program requires a grade of C or better in trigonometry. Online courses are taught by world-class NIU faculty who bring real industry challenges into the classroom.

  • Safety, accident prevention, energy economy and utilization
  • Facilities design and management technology
  • Manufacturing distribution
