Kelly Gross, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor

Kelly M. Gross teaches courses in art and technology, inclusive pedagogy and curriculum development. Her research explores the intersection of art education, disability studies and emerging technologies, with a focus on how artificial intelligence can support more inclusive and creative learning environments. She has published in leading journals such as Studies in Art Education and the International Journal of Lifelong Learning in Art Education, and regularly presents her work at national and international conferences. Drawing on her experience as a former K–8 art and special education teacher, her work bridges theory and practice to advance equitable access in arts education. Her current projects examine AI integration in high school art classrooms and participatory, community-based art installations that combine light, technology and creative expression.
