Announcements
Cassidy announced that President Peters is staying at NIU. President Peters will attend a budget hearing on 23 April in Springfield. He and other university presidents are coordinating efforts to maintain the FY04 higher education budget for FY05. Panel members should have received invitation to 29 April student affairs assessment teleconference. Please RSVP by 23 April to UP&A, 753-1421. Eaton is receiving the Presidential Award for Excellence at an awards reception next Tuesday.
Funding Request from Foreign Language & Literature
The panel discussed the funding request from Foreign Language & Literature which is to cover the costs for self training. The request was approved.
Assessment Plan Annual Update Form
UAP members discussed draft submitted by Barnard. This document will be posted on the assessment website. Departments will use this form for their annual update and will submit electronically.
IBHE Establishment of the Committee to Review Priorities, Productivity and Accountability in Illinois Higher Education
The committee has been established and members appointed. This document reflects the charge to the committee and the timeline they should follow.
IBHE Mid-term review of The Illinois Commitment: Stakeholder Views and Opinions
This document is an update of feedback received about the utility of The Illinois Commitment for higher education. The review is ongoing and a progress report will be presented to the IBHE Board in June, with the final report due in August.
Feedback on Assessment Plans
The panel continued its review of assessment plans that were resubmitted based on feedback from last year. One funding request was approved.

Cassidy thanked the panel for their participation this year.
