Membership of Supportive Professional Staff Council
The Council shall be composed of 24 representatives (each with an alternate), proportioned to the total number of Supportive Professional Staff members employed in each of the divisions. The Council shall review the appointment of representation prior to the elections conducted in years evenly divisible by two, and the distribution of representation shall be adjusted as needed to maintain an equal apportionment. The president of the Supportive Professional Staff Council shall serve a three-year term and be the individual elected as the supportive professional staff representative to the University Council. The president will be elected by the Supportive Professional Staff constituency and shall not simultaneously represent any one of the aforementioned areas. The vice president, secretary and treasurer shall be elected by the members of the council from its membership. The vice president will serve as the alternate to the University Council. One other member of the Supportive Professional Staff, selected by that council, shall serve as an ex officio nonvoting member of the University Council.
