STUDENT AFFAIRS PROFESSIONAL STAFF ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Membership of Student Affairs Professional Staff Advisory Committee
A.
The Student Affairs Professional Staff Advisory Committee shall consist
of 11 supportive professional staff members to be selected by colleagues
from within the
division. The chair shall be selected by the membership of the committee.
Length of term shall be two-year, staggered terms.
B. The duties of the Student Affairs Professional Staff Advisory Committee shall be:
1. To act as an advisory body to the associate
provost for Student Affairs for personnel matters affecting supportive
professional staff in the division of Student
Affairs; facilitate communication among staff concerning personnel policies
and procedures.
2. To function as an appeal board for supportive
professional staff members who wish to appeal personnel decisions regarding
salary, performance evaluation,
leave, promotion, reappointment, official reprimand, administrative suspension
and dismissal for cause. Review and rank sabbatical leave requests and
recommend approval or disapproval to the associate provost for Student
Affairs.
Reports to the associate provost for Student Affairs.
