Faculty Fund Scholars 32 ACT; top 5% HS class or 3.75 GPA 4 years $9,000/yr
NIU Scholars 27 ACT; top 5% or 3.75 GPA 4 years $7,000/yr
Northern Academic Scholarship 25 -26 ACT; top 10% or 3.0 GPA; or 27 ACT and above; 6-10% of class 2 years $4,000/yr
Centennial Scholarship 22-24 ACT; top 10% or 3.0 GPA 2 years $3,000/yr
Red & Black Award 19-21 ACT; top 10% or 3.0 GPA; or
22 ACT and above; 11-25% of class
1 year $3,000
Out-of-State Huskie Scholarship Resident of Iowa, Indiana, or Wisconsin;
19 ACT; top 50% or 2.75 GPA
4 years $9,200/yr
DeKalb County Scholarship Top 25% of class 2 years $4,000/yr
NIU Transfer Scholarship 3.5 Transfer GPA; 45 transferable hours completed 2 years $2,000/yr
4+3 Pre-Law Scholarship Pre-Law  majors with 28 ACT/3.5 GPA 4 years $2,000/yr
Huskie Legacy Award New freshman; child of NIU alumnus/a 1 year $1,000

The above scholarships are awarded based on the application for admission to NIU.  Some scholarships are competitive and may not be awarded to all qualified students. 

Scholarships will be awarded as long as funds remain available - students should be admitted to NIU by December 15 to be considered for the maximum scholarship amount.  Admitted students will be awarded the highest level scholarship for which they are eligible, based on available funding.
