Northern Illinois University entered its process for renewal of institutional accreditation by The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools during the fall 2011 semester. Accreditation by the HLC is one way the university publicly demonstrates its commitment to quality and its willingness to be held externally accountable to those we serve.

Announcements

The HLC Accreditation Steering Committee has set its meeting schedule for academic year 2013.  All meetings being at 1:15 pm and are held in Altgeld Hall 225 on the following dates:
