Commuter Student Association

The Commuter Student Association is a group of students who are interested in creating and participating in programs and services for NIU commuters. This group will work to provide a collective voice for commuter students and will liaison with the NIU Student Association Senators that represent the interests of commuter students at NIU.

This group is currently in the process of seeking NIU Student Association recognition and is advised by the Director of the Department of Commuter and Non-Traditional Student Services. In addition to monthly meetings held in the Commuter Collegia at Holmes Student Center (basement level) on the first Tuesday (11am) and Wednesday (4:30pm)  of the month, commuter students can come to the Collegia at HSC every Tuesday and Wednesday from 10am - 11:30 for coffee and pastries and to meet and talk with other commuter students.

Please take the time to visit The Lounge in the Holmes Student Center 023J, register for the Commuter Student Association and get connected with some great services that will make your commute to NIU much easier and more enjoyable!
