The Lounge


"Your Home Away From Home"

Anyone is welcome to The Lounge located in the basement of the Holmes Student Center, Room 023J, across from the computer lab. The Lounge has everything you need just like what you have at home. This cozy place is great to meet other people, hang out, eat a meal, study, and play games. The Lounge has a seating area which includes comfortable couches and lounge chairs; table and chairs for you to dine, study, or play games on; a small computer lab; and a mini-kitchen with a full-sized refrigerator. The Lounge is open Monday through Friday from 8am to 6:30pm during the academic year and Monday through Thursday in the summer.

We have same appliances you will find in your home in the Lounge. We also provide napkins, silverware, and cups, for your convenience.

Girl by LockersLockers

Tired of dragging everything around all day but you don't want to make 100 trips to your car to get your books and food? Then sign up for your own locker. Locker rentals are just $15 a semester or $25 for the academic year. Each locker has a dimension of 18inH x 12inW x 16.5inL. Lockers are located on the far wall behind the computer lab in the lower level of the Holmes Student Center.

OTHER LOUNGE AREAS ON CAMPUS

Holmes Student Center (wireless enabled)

The Gallery Lounge on the second floor is a large space with couches, tables that seat six students, and a quiet environment. Excellent for studying and relaxing.

The Food Court is located on the ground level with plenty of seating. It is a convenient location for group work, breaks between classes, and a snack. Food offerings include the BlackHawk Food Court, Coffee Corner, Huskie Hub, and Subway.

The Pheasant Lounge is also on the second floor, This area features high-top tables to seat 2-3 students, round tables seating 6 students, a flat screen TV, and seating area. This is a quiet environment, good for conversation, television viewing, studying, group work, or just relaxing between classes.

The Huskie Den is located in the basement of the HSC. Easiest access is from the HSC entrance on Lucinda, with stairs to the Den immediately on your right. The den is a recreational environment with pool tables, bowling lanes, arcade games, darts, and more. This is a great place to meet with your friends for a snack and some fun.

The Library (wireless enabled)

Founders Library is located between Swen Parson Hall, Holmes Student Center, and the parking garage. It is a quiet study environment for individual and quiet group work. In the main entry are chairs and couches where communicative group work can occur.

Neptune Central (wireless enabled)

The Neptune Central Lounge is located on the ground floor of Neptune Central just across from The Trident, the lounge area includes a fireplace, couches, and group tables seating 2-6 students. This is a quieter environment used for studying, napping, and relaxing.

DuSable Hall

The DuSable DugOut offers vending machines, lunch items, and tables seating 4 students. This is a more active environment.

Barsema Hall (wireless enabled)

The Three Sons Cafe is located on the first floor of Barsema Hall and serves Starbucks coffee, sandwiches, muffins, drinks, and more. Also available are vending machines (one with ice cream). Tables seat 2 to 7 students. There also are couches and chairs. This is an active environment commonly used for group meetings and study.
