Joyce Keller is the Associate Director for Career Counseling and Internships in Career Services. In her current position, she supervises assistant directors, career counselors, and graduate assistants and oversees all career counseling services, including the Career Resource Center. Ms. Keller is an NIU alumna, having completed her master’s degree in counseling with a specialization in student development in higher education; she has also completed post-master’ s coursework in advanced career development topics.
Ms. Keller has worked professionally with students for over 13 years in public and private college settings, has worked in both two- and four-year institutions, and has worked extensively in the areas of residence life and study skills instruction. Although she has been providing career counseling to a diverse caseload of clients since 2001, Joyce identifies strongly as a student affairs practitioner due to the breadth of her professional experiences. She is proud to have coordinated recruitment for NIU’s Dialogue on Race retreat and has twice served as a Dialogue on Race program facilitator. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (Illinois) and is a nationally certified (NCC) counselor.
