Barbara Kaufmann

As an Employer Relations Specialist, Barbara Kaufmann helps employers to promote their job openings to NIU students and alumni through the use of Career Services’ Victor-e-Recruiting database and the annual job fairs. Barbara’s twenty years of Career Services experience, primarily in the field of K-12 Education, offers a unique perspective when taking the lead responsibility of preparing the day-to-day activities for the annual Educator’s Job Fair, now in its successful 24th year.

Prior to her work at NIU, Ms. Kaufmann began her professional career as a teacher, in both the public and private school sectors, where she applied her Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education. With a conscientious approach, she has aided future teachers, administrators, and related professionals as they pursue their careers in the all-important field of Education.
