The University Writing Project (UWP) began in 2000 as the Junior Level Writing Project and was developed in conjunction with the ACT CAAP Writing Essay. Over time, the UWP has evolved into an in-house assessment of student writing that utilizes course-embedded assignments to assess both early and late stage student writing skills.
