Critical Thinking Project

As a part of the ongoing assessment program at Northern Illinois University, a decision was made in academic year 2000 to assess the critical thinking skills of enrolled students. On review of available instruments that assess critical thinking, the CAAP (Collegiate Assessment of Academic Proficiency), designed and published by ACT (American College Testing), was selected for use.
